Reinhold Ranftl

Reinhold Ranftl is an Austrian right-back born in Feldbach on 24 January 1992. He began at SVU Kapfenstein, developed at UFC Fehring, and later joined Sturm Graz, where he mainly played for the reserves. Seeking regular senior football, Ranftl continued with TSV Hartberg and SC Wiener Neustadt before joining LASK in 2015. At LASK, he helped the club win promotion in 2017 and became a dependable right-sided player during its rise into the Bundesliga and European competition. His 2019–20 campaign included 14 European appearances, while he made his Austria debut against Latvia in November 2019. Ranftl moved to Schalke 04 in 2021 and won the 2. Bundesliga before returning to Austria on loan in 2022. The move to Austria Vienna became permanent in 2023, where he remains a right-back and wing-back option.
