Romain Poncet
Romain Poncet is a French defender who has represented Hauts Lyonnais since joining the club on 1 July 2015. Born on 18 March 1997, he has built his senior career around long-term service with the French lower-league side. Poncet has featured for Hauts Lyonnais in the Coupe de France, including matches against Bastia in 2021 and Toulouse in 2024. In the 2025–26 campaign, he had made 26 appearances and played more than 1,900 minutes by April 2026. He also helped the team record 14 clean sheets during that season. Primarily described as a left-back, Poncet can also operate at centre-back, offering flexibility across the defensive line. His continued involvement in competitive football has made him an established member of Hauts Lyonnais.
