Romain Paul Jean-Michel Perraud
Romain Perraud is a French professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Lille. Born in Toulouse in 1997, he developed with Blagnac, Toulouse Fontaines and US Colomiers before joining Nice’s academy in 2014. Perraud made his senior debut for Nice in the Europa League against Krasnodar in December 2016. To gain regular experience, he joined Paris FC on loan for the 2018–19 Ligue 2 season, scoring five goals from defence. In 2019, he moved permanently to Stade Brestois 29, where his attacking contribution from left-back helped establish him in Ligue 1. Southampton signed Perraud in 2021, giving him experience of Premier League football before a loan return to Nice. He later played for Real Betis in Spain and returned to France with Lille in 2025, continuing his career as an attack-minded defender.
