Romal Jordan Palmer

Romal Jordan Palmer is an English midfielder born in Wigan on 30 September 1998. He developed in the Manchester City academy, spending 10 years there before leaving in 2016 for Barnsley. Palmer continued his progression with a 2018–19 loan to Darlington in the National League North, then returned to Barnsley. In the 2020–21 Championship campaign, he made 36 league appearances as Barnsley reached the play-offs. After leaving England, Palmer joined Turkish club Göztepe in July 2022 and made 34 appearances, scoring three goals. He moved to St Patrick’s Athletic on loan in 2024 before making the switch permanent, later scoring in UEFA Conference League qualifying matches against FC Vaduz and Sabah FK. Used centrally, Palmer has developed from an attacking-midfield option into a player capable of contributing as a holding midfielder, combining ball retention with defensive work and forward movement.
