Rasmus Schmidt Nicolaisen
Rasmus Schmidt Nicolaisen is a Danish defender who plays for Toulouse in Ligue 1. Born in Aulum on 16 March 1997, he developed at FC Midtjylland, whose academy provided his route into senior football. Nicolaisen made his professional debut for Midtjylland in a Danish Cup match against Kjellerup IF on 7 March 2017. He followed that appearance with his Danish Superliga debut against Lyngby BK on 16 April, before scoring his first senior goal against Randers FC on 1 June in a 3–0 victory. During his Midtjylland spell, he was part of teams that won the Superliga in 2017–18 and 2019–20, as well as the Danish Cup in 2018–19. At 1.91 metres, Nicolaisen brings a strong physical presence to central defence and later continued his career in France with Toulouse.
