Ruben Ira Loftus-Cheek
Ruben Ira Loftus-Cheek is an English central midfielder born in London in 1996. He joined Chelsea’s academy at eight and was playing for the under-18s by 14, later captaining the club to FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League success. Loftus-Cheek made his Chelsea senior debut in 2014 before spending 2017–18 on loan at Crystal Palace, where his performances helped him earn a place in England’s 2018 World Cup squad. He appeared four times as England reached the semi-finals. After a 2019 Achilles rupture, he rebuilt his match fitness during a 2020–21 loan at Fulham. Returning to Chelsea, he continued to offer powerful ball carrying and positional versatility, including a spell at wing-back. In 2023, Loftus-Cheek moved to AC Milan, where his vertical running and midfield flexibility have added a new chapter to his career.
