Robin Lod

Robin Lod is a Finnish midfielder born in Helsinki. He developed at HJK Helsinki and made his professional debut with reserve side Klubi 04 in 2011 before establishing himself in HJK’s first team. From 2011 to 2015, he helped the club win four consecutive Veikkausliiga titles and was named league Player of the Year in 2014. In 2015, Lod moved to Panathinaikos, making 105 appearances across three seasons and gaining UEFA Europa League experience. He then joined Sporting Gijón in 2018, recording 24 Segunda División appearances and four goals during a one-year spell. Lod signed for Minnesota United FC in July 2019, later becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer with 41 goals and adding 28 assists. For Finland, he started every match at Euro 2020, the nation’s first major tournament finals, and his career subsequently continued with Chicago Fire.
