Rani Khedira

Rani Khedira is a German-born midfielder from Stuttgart, known primarily for his work as a defensive No. 6. He began at TV Oeffingen before joining the VfB Stuttgart academy in 2005 and making his reserve debut in the 3. Liga in 2012. Khedira made his Bundesliga debut for Stuttgart in September 2013, then moved to RB Leipzig in 2014. He helped Leipzig win promotion to the Bundesliga in 2016 before joining FC Augsburg, where he spent four seasons from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, Khedira signed for Union Berlin and became a screening presence in front of the defence, winning the ball and helping launch attacks. He scored the decisive goal against Werder Bremen on the final day of 2022–23, securing Union’s first Champions League qualification. After representing Germany at youth level, Khedira later became involved with Tunisia.
