René Shaki Joensen
René Shaki Joensen is a Faroese right midfielder born on February 8, 1993. He developed in the Brøndby setup and made his Danish Superliga debut during the 2011–12 season. Returning home, he joined HB Tórshavn in 2014, then moved to Vendsyssel FF, where he played from 2015 to 2017. Joensen next joined Icelandic top-flight club Grindavík, scoring six goals in 26 appearances during 2018. He later returned to HB before signing for KÍ Klaksvík in January 2022. For the Faroe Islands, Joensen scored against Malta, Kosovo and Malta in the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League. At KÍ, he has provided midfield experience and can also cover right-back, reflecting the positional flexibility developed across his Scandinavian career.
