Régis Gurtner

Régis Gurtner is a French goalkeeper born in Saverne on 8 December 1986. He developed in Alsace with AS Rehthal and FCSR Haguenau before joining RC Strasbourg in 2004, where he progressed from the reserve side to the first team. After leaving Strasbourg, Gurtner continued his professional career with US Boulogne, Luzenac and Le Havre. In June 2015, he joined Amiens SC in the Championnat National and became a central figure in the club’s rise through successive promotions to Ligue 1 in 2017. At Amiens, he spent ten seasons, captained the side for several campaigns and established himself as a dependable shot-stopper and organiser of the defence. Gurtner also remained involved in Amiens’s later Ligue 2 campaigns, including a 2023–24 season in which he recorded 15 clean sheets. In July 2025, he moved to RC Lens, bringing extensive experience and veteran leadership to the club.
