Remo Marco Freuler

Remo Marco Freuler is a Swiss midfielder, born in Ennenda on 15 April 1992. He developed with FC Hinwil and FC Winterthur before making his professional debut for Winterthur in the Swiss Challenge League. A spell at Grasshopper Club Zürich included a loan return to Winterthur, where he continued his progress. Freuler moved to FC Luzern in 2014, taking the next step into top-flight Swiss football. In January 2016, he joined Atalanta and established himself in a high-pressing midfield, helping the club build from central areas and cover advancing teammates. He moved to Nottingham Forest in August 2022, then returned to Italy with Bologna in September 2023. Freuler has also represented Switzerland internationally, adding experience across a career shaped by positional discipline, secure distribution and intelligent defensive work.
