Ross Doohan

Ross Doohan is a Scottish goalkeeper born in Clydebank on 29 March 1998. He developed at Celtic’s academy, joined the club as a 12-year-old in 2010 and became a professional in 2015, although he did not make a first-team appearance during his first spell. Loan moves to Cumbernauld Colts and Greenock Morton preceded a productive period with Ayr United, where he made 63 league appearances across two seasons from 2018 to 2020. Doohan then moved to Tranmere Rovers, initially on loan in 2021–22, keeping 13 clean sheets in 30 appearances before signing permanently in July 2022. He stepped up to Forest Green Rovers in January 2023 and joined Aberdeen later that year. At Aberdeen, Ross Doohan made a stoppage-time penalty save against Hearts in January 2024 to help secure a goalless draw. In June 2025 he made his senior Scotland debut in a 4–0 win over Liechtenstein and returned to Celtic, giving his career a notable homecoming.
