Robert Darbinyan

Robert Darbinyan is an Armenian defender born in Tolyatti, Russia, on October 4, 1995. He developed at the Konoplev Football Academy and began senior football with Krylia Sovetov Samara’s second team. Darbinyan made his breakthrough with Shirak during the 2014/15 season, making 21 appearances and scoring his first professional goal. He later represented Ararat-Armenia, Urartu and Pyunik before joining Ararat Yerevan in June 2021, then returning to Shirak. In January 2026, he moved back to Pyunik Yerevan on a free transfer. Primarily a right-back, Robert can also play on the left, with a versatile profile that includes inverted wing-back duties. He won the Armenian Cup in 2016–17 and the Armenian Supercup in 2017, and made one senior appearance for Armenia alongside youth international involvement.
