Ryan Christie

Ryan Christie is a Scottish attacking midfielder born in Inverness on 22 February 1995. He developed in Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s youth system and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2011. Christie made his senior debut against Celtic in 2013 and helped Inverness CT win the Scottish Cup in 2015. Later that year, he joined Celtic and gained further experience during loan spells with Aberdeen. After returning to Celtic, Christie became an important contributor and scored the winning goal in the 2018 Scottish League Cup Final against Aberdeen. He has represented Scotland, scoring in the shootout victory over Serbia that secured qualification for Euro 2020. In 2021, Christie moved to Bournemouth, where his pressing and work rate have supported a gradual shift from advanced midfield roles into a deeper position.
