Reginald Jacob Cannon

Reginald Jacob Cannon is a defender, primarily a right-back, born in Chicago in 1998. He developed in Texas, attending Grapevine Faith Christian School and winning national academy titles with FC Dallas in 2015 and 2016. After beginning at UCLA in 2016, Cannon signed for FC Dallas and made his professional debut in 2017. He established himself as the club’s starting right-back in 2018, adding forward runs and earning a first United States call-up. In 2020, Cannon moved to Boavista in Portugal, gaining experience in the Primeira Liga before joining Queens Park Rangers in England in 2023. He returned to Major League Soccer with the Colorado Rapids in 2024, bringing experience from three leagues and the ability to operate in different defensive systems. Internationally, Cannon represented the USA at the 2019 Gold Cup and helped win the 2021 Nations League and Gold Cup.
