Ronan Boyce

Ronan Boyce is an Irish defender who developed through Derry City's academy after joining in 2017. He progressed through the club's under-age teams and made his senior competitive debut as a substitute against Cork City in September 2019. After signing his first professional contract in January 2021, Boyce established himself in Derry's senior side and scored his first senior goal against Drogheda United that April. His performances brought the Derry City Players' Player of the Year award and a place in the PFAI Premier Division Team of the Year. A right-back by trade, he combined defensive work with an attacking contribution and also gained experience in European competition. He helped Derry City win the FAI Cup in 2022 and the FAI President's Cup in 2023. Boyce later represented the Republic of Ireland at under-21 level before leaving Derry City for St Patrick's Athletic, where he is part of the squad.
