Rafik Belghali

Rafik Belghali is an Algerian defender who was born in Leuven, Belgium, on 7 June 2002. He developed through Sint-Truiden, PSV Eindhoven and Zulte Waregem before beginning his senior career with Lommel SK in 2020. At Lommel, Belghali progressed into the first team and spent three seasons in Belgium’s second tier. In 2023, he moved to KV Mechelen, making the step into the Belgian top flight and establishing himself as a regular defender. Hellas Verona signed him in 2025, taking him into Serie A. Used primarily at right-back, Rafik Belghali combines measured positioning with forward runs, crossing and transitional pace. After representing Algeria at under-23 level, he received a senior call-up in 2025, continuing his international progression with the Fennecs.
