Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley is an English central midfielder from Liverpool, known for his right-footed passing, powerful ball carrying and ability to operate in advanced or deeper roles. He joined Everton’s academy at 11 and progressed from an early defensive position into midfield, making his Premier League debut for the club as a teenager in 2011. Barkley developed into a prominent Everton player, driving forward from midfield and earning selection for England’s 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016 squads. In January 2018, he moved to Chelsea, where he won the FA Cup and UEFA Europa League, though regular starts were difficult to secure. A 2020–21 loan to Aston Villa preceded spells with Nice and Luton Town, where a deeper role highlighted his passing and creativity. Barkley returned to Aston Villa in 2024 and remains part of the club’s midfield group.
