Reed Vanarthur Baker-Whiting

Reed Vanarthur Baker-Whiting is an American midfielder from Seattle who developed in the Seattle Sounders academy after beginning with Seattle United. He joined the Sounders’ Discovery Program at 11 and helped the club win the 2019 Generation adidas Cup. Baker-Whiting made his MLS debut for Seattle Sounders against LAFC in May 2021, aged 16, before making his first league start later that season at Austin. Though registered as a midfielder, he has also operated at left-back and right-back, giving him a flexible role across the pitch. He recorded his first career assist against FC Dallas in September 2023. Baker-Whiting helped Seattle win a CONCACAF title in 2022 and was part of its 2025 Leagues Cup title run. He has represented United States U20 and moved to Nashville SC in 2026.
