Rafał Sylwester Augustyniak

Rafał Sylwester Augustyniak is a Polish centre-back born in Zduńska Wola on 14 October 1993. He developed with MKS MOS Zduńska Wola and Pogoń Zduńska Wola before joining Widzew Łódź in 2011. Developmental football at Pogoń Siedlce preceded his move to Jagiellonia Białystok, where he continued his senior career. Augustyniak established himself at Miedź Legnica, making his Ekstraklasa breakthrough during the 2018–19 season. In 2019, he moved to Russia to play for Ural Yekaterinburg, where his physical presence and defensive work strengthened his reputation. He made his Poland debut as a substitute against England at Wembley in a 2022 World Cup qualifier in March 2021. Augustyniak returned to Poland with Legia Warszawa in July 2022 and has since operated both at centre-back and in defensive midfield, contributing to the club’s Polish Cup and Super Cup successes.
