Rhys Abbruzzese

Rhys Abbruzzese is a Welsh midfielder born in Trecynon on 28 March 1998. He began with Gadlys Rovers before joining Cardiff City’s academy at nine, spending a decade developing through its age groups. During that period, Abbruzzese represented Wales at youth level from under-17 to under-21. He moved into senior football with Barry Town in January 2019, gaining three years of experience in the Welsh top flight. In July 2022, he joined Haverfordwest County AFC, where he has operated across the left side as a midfielder and wing-back. His energetic running, technical ability and judgement allow him to support the defence, provide width and contribute to attacks. In 2023–24, he made 28 appearances and scored six goals, earning selection for the Cymru Premier Team of the Season.
