Gerard Fernández Castellano

Peque Fernández, whose full name is Gerard Fernández Castellano, is a Spanish second striker born in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat on 4 October 2002. He developed between UE Cornellà and FC Barcelona, returning to both academies during his youth years before progressing into senior football. Fernández made his senior debut for Cornellà and later featured for Barcelona B, scoring on his debut against Villarreal B. In 2022, he joined Racing Santander, where his movement and finishing made him a central attacking threat. During the 2023–24 Segunda División campaign, Peque led Racing's scoring with 18 goals in 40 appearances. Sevilla signed him in July 2024, and his role subsequently shifted toward an advanced playmaker or shadow striker. At Sevilla, Peque can operate behind the centre-forward, link midfield with attack and create space for teammates, continuing his development in La Liga.
