Pablo Fornals Malla

Pablo Fornals is a Spanish attacking midfielder born in Castellón de la Plana on 22 February 1996. He developed in Villarreal’s youth system, returned to hometown club CD Castellón, and joined Málaga in 2012. He made his senior Málaga debut against Real Madrid in September 2015 and soon established himself in La Liga. In 2017, Fornals returned to Villarreal, where he scored the winning goal in a notable Bernabéu victory in January 2018. He moved to West Ham United in 2019 and became a regular across midfield and attack, making more than 200 appearances. With West Ham, Pablo won the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League. He also helped Spain Under-21s win the 2019 European Championship before returning to La Liga with Real Betis in February 2024. At Betis, Fornals has continued to provide creative passing while adapting to deeper midfield duties.
