Pavel Šulc

Pavel Šulc is a Czech attacking midfielder born in Karlovy Vary on 29 December 2000. He began with SK Toužim and FC Slavia Karlovy Vary before joining Viktoria Plzeň’s academy in 2011. After entering senior football, Šulc developed through loans at Vysočina Jihlava, SFC Opava, Dynamo České Budějovice and FK Jablonec between 2019 and 2023. He returned to Plzeň for 2023/24, scored 18 Czech First League goals and helped the club reach the Europa Conference League quarter-finals. In 2025, Šulc was named Czech Footballer of the Year and won the Golden Ball as the country’s best player. He moved to Lyon in August 2025, where he has been used as an attacking midfielder and forward and signed a contract through June 2029. Šulc made his Czech senior debut on 22 March 2024 and has since featured in World Cup qualifying.
