Pascal Augustus Struijk

Pascal Augustus Struijk is a Dutch centre-back whose height and composure support his work in possession and defence. At seven, he entered ADO Den Haag’s academy before moving to Ajax in 2016, where he was also tried as a striker in youth football. Struijk joined Leeds United on trial in January 2018, secured a permanent move and helped the under-23 side win the Professional Development League in 2019. Under Marcelo Bielsa, he also filled a defensive midfield role during Leeds’ 2019–20 Championship promotion run-in. He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool at Anfield in September 2020. In May 2022, Struijk headed a late equaliser against Brighton, while his aerial ability and left-footed distribution have remained notable strengths. He was later provisionally called up by the Netherlands for the 2022 World Cup.
