Papuna Poniava

Papuna Poniava is a Georgian midfielder born on 10 March 1994. He began his senior career with Merani Martvili, making early appearances in Georgia’s top flight between 2011 and 2015. Poniava moved to Dinamo Batumi in 2016 and then joined Chikhura Sachkhere in 2017, continuing his development within Georgian football. In 2018, he played for Metalurgi Rustavi, becoming a regular and making 26 appearances in his first season. He later represented Samgurali Tskaltubo, featuring 34 times and scoring five goals during the 2021 campaign. Poniava subsequently played for Gareji Sagarejo, recording seven goals and seven assists in 2023, followed by five goals and five assists in 2024. His recorded Georgian clubs also include Torpedo Kutaisi, and he featured for the Georgia Under-21 team.
