Peter Pokorný

Peter Pokorný is a Slovak midfielder born in Trenčín on 8 August 2001. He developed through youth football before gaining senior experience in Austria and Spain, where he was used primarily in a holding role. He later spent time with Fehérvár before moving to Śląsk Wrocław in 2023. At Śląsk Wrocław, Pokorný established himself as a regular defensive midfielder and helped the side challenge near the top of Poland's Ekstraklasa. In July 2025, he returned to Slovakia to join Slovan Bratislava, adding domestic and European experience to the squad. For Slovakia, Peter Pokorný represented the under-21 side and was included in the senior squad in 2022, although he remained an unused substitute in the reported friendlies. His game is built around screening the defence, intercepting passes, winning challenges and making simple passes to begin attacks.
