Paul O'Neill

Paul O'Neill is a Northern Irish centre-forward who developed through Cliftonville's youth system before joining Glentoran in 2014. At Glentoran, he progressed into senior football and enjoyed a breakthrough 2019–20 campaign, winning the NI Football Writers' Young Player of the Year award. He also scored Glentoran's opening goal in the 2020 Irish Cup final, helping the club lift the trophy. O'Neill returned to Cliftonville in January 2021 and contributed to the club's 2022 League Cup success. In July 2022, he moved to Larne, where he has remained part of a side competing for domestic honours and in European campaigns. His Northern Ireland Under-21 involvement included an overhead-kick winner against Ukraine in 2020 and two goals against Finland. As a forward, O'Neill has been used centrally and in wider attacking roles, combining finishing with movement and defensive work.
