Péter Gulácsi

Péter Gulácsi is a Hungarian goalkeeper born in Budapest on 6 May 1990. He began developing at BVSC before joining MTK Budapest’s Sándor Károly Academy, where he entered full-time training as a teenager. Gulácsi moved to Liverpool in 2007, initially on loan and then permanently, but spent his six-year association with the club without a senior competitive appearance. To gain experience, he had loan spells with Hereford United, Tranmere Rovers and Hull City. In 2013, Gulácsi left Liverpool for Red Bull Salzburg, helping the Austrian club win successive Bundesliga and Cup doubles. He joined RB Leipzig in 2015 and supported their rise from the 2. Bundesliga to the 2019–20 Champions League semi-finals, later becoming captain. Internationally, he represented Hungary at Euro 2016, Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, contributing to a distinguished national-team career.
