Paulo Dino Gazzaniga Farias

Paulo Dino Gazzaniga Farias is an Argentine goalkeeper born in Murphy on 2 January 1992. He began playing at Centro Recreativo Unión y Cultura before moving to Spain at 15 to join Valencia’s youth system, although he did not make a senior appearance there. In 2011, Gazzaniga moved to England and played 20 professional matches for Gillingham in League Two. His performances led Southampton, newly promoted to the Premier League, to sign him in 2012, beginning a period in which he developed behind Artur Boruc and Fraser Forster. Gazzaniga joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 and made his debut against Crystal Palace that November, keeping a clean sheet in a 1–0 victory. He later spent time at Fulham and on loan with Elche before establishing himself at Girona. At Girona, Gazzaniga has become a regular starter, combining his 1.95-metre frame and right-footed distribution with the reaction saves expected of a modern goalkeeper.
