Patrick Drewes

Patrick Drewes is a German goalkeeper born in Delmenhorst on 4 February 1993. He began playing with TuS Heidkrug before joining VfL Wolfsburg’s academy in 2008, developing through the club’s second team and remaining around the senior squad. Drewes gained regular experience on loan at Swiss side FC Wil, then continued his progression with Preußen Münster and Würzburger Kickers. In 2019, he joined VfL Bochum and was part of the squad that won the 2. Bundesliga title and promotion in 2021. He established himself as a regular starter at SV Sandhausen before moving to Karlsruher SC for the 2023–24 season. Drewes returned to Bochum in 2024 and started the opening phase of their Bundesliga campaign, combining a 1.94-metre frame with shot-stopping and aerial work. He joined Borussia Dortmund in 2025, where Patrick Drewes provides experienced goalkeeping depth.
