Paweł Marek Dawidowicz

Paweł Marek Dawidowicz is a Polish defender born in Olsztyn on 20 May 1995. He developed at Sokół Ostróda before joining Lechia Gdańsk’s academy in 2011, progressing to the senior side and making his Ekstraklasa debut. Initially used as a defensive midfielder, Dawidowicz moved to Portugal in 2014, when Benfica signed him and placed him with the club’s B team. He later gained experience on loan at VfL Bochum and Palermo, broadening his understanding of midfield and defensive roles. Dawidowicz joined Hellas Verona on loan in 2018 and completed a permanent move in 2019, establishing himself primarily as a centre-back. His 1.89-metre frame supports his work in aerial duels, clearances and defensive set pieces, while his background helps him contribute to build-up play. At international level, he made his Poland debut in 2015 and was involved in the squads for Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
