Pierrick Capelle

Pierrick Capelle is a French midfielder, born on 15 April 1987 in Lesquin. He emerged late, reaching professional football after developing outside the prominent academy system. In 2011–12, Capelle represented Quevilly during the club’s run to the Coupe de France final, where it lost to Lyon. That campaign earned him a move to Clermont Foot, and he spent three seasons with the Ligue 2 club from 2012 to 2015. Capelle joined Angers in July 2015 and established himself as a long-serving member of the squad. Primarily a central midfielder, he has also covered defensive and attacking midfield roles, as well as the left flank. Appointed Angers captain in 2022, Capelle later helped the club win promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2024.
