Pavel Bucha

Pavel Bucha is a Czech central midfielder from Mělník who developed in the Slavia Prague academy from 2007 to 2017. He made his professional debut for Slavia in February 2018 before moving to Viktoria Plzeň later that year after a contract dispute. Bucha then spent time on loan at Mladá Boleslav, where he recorded eight goals and seven assists. Returning to Plzeň, he became an important midfield presence, making 163 appearances and contributing 27 goals and 21 assists across competitions. He also helped Plzeň win the 2021/22 Czech First League title. In 2024, Bucha joined FC Cincinnati, where he operates centrally as a connective passer and box-to-box midfielder. His game combines progressive distribution, pressing judgment and defensive coverage, and he has become known for covering significant distances while helping link Cincinnati’s deeper midfield to its attacking players.
