Pontus Skule Erik Almqvist

Pontus Skule Erik Almqvist is a Swedish forward born in Nyköping on 10 July 1999. He developed in Sweden and spent time with the Nike Football Academy before joining IFK Norrköping in 2017. Loan spells with IF Sylvia, Varbergs BoIS and Norrby IF gave Almqvist early senior experience, and he later became a regular for Norrköping. In 2020, he moved to Rostov, beginning an extended period of football outside Sweden. Almqvist subsequently played on loan for Utrecht, Pogoń Szczecin and Lecce, gaining experience in the Netherlands, Poland and Italy. At Lecce, he scored twice in 30 appearances during the 2023–24 Serie A season. He joined Parma permanently in 2024, where his pace, direct running and ability to operate from wide areas have continued to shape his role.
