Óscar Valentín Martín Luengo

Óscar Valentín is a Spanish midfielder born in Navalmoral de la Mata on 20 August 1994. He completed his development at Rayo Majadahonda, making his senior debut there in the 2012–13 Tercera División campaign. Between 2013 and 2017, he also played for Fútbol Alcobendas Sport while continuing to compete in Spain’s lower divisions. Returning to Rayo Majadahonda in 2017, Valentín established himself in Segunda División B and helped the club secure its first promotion to the Segunda División. He made his professional debut in August 2018 before joining Rayo Vallecano in 2019. At Vallecano, he became a defensive-minded central midfielder and contributed to the team’s 2021 promotion to La Liga, where he made his top-flight debut against Sevilla. Named Rayo captain in 2023–24, Óscar Valentín led La Liga for tackles won with 66, underlining the ball-winning and screening work that defines his role.
