Óscar Mingueza García
Óscar Mingueza is a right-footed centre-back from Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Spain. He joined Barcelona’s academy in 2007, progressed through its age groups and helped Juvenil A win the 2017–18 UEFA Youth League. Mingueza made his Barcelona first-team debut in November 2020 in a 4–0 Champions League victory over Dynamo Kyiv. He operated as both a centre-back and right-back, scored against Real Madrid in the 2021 Clásico and helped Barcelona win the 2020–21 Copa del Rey. In July 2022, Mingueza moved to Celta Vigo, where wide defending, ball progression and movement into midfield broadened his role. He later became involved with Spain’s national-team setup. Crystal Palace currently lists him in its squad, adding a new chapter to the career of a defender developed at La Masia.
