Oihan Sancet Tirapu

Oihan Sancet is a Spanish attacking midfielder who plays for Athletic Club. Born in Pamplona on 25 April 2000, he began his development at CA Osasuna before joining Athletic’s Lezama academy in 2015. Sancet moved directly into Bilbao Athletic for the 2018–19 season, but an anterior cruciate ligament injury interrupted his start and kept him out for nearly seven months. He returned in March 2019 and reached the first team that summer, making his professional debut as a substitute in Athletic’s 1–0 home win over Barcelona. Initially used centrally, he increasingly operated between the lines as an attacking midfielder or second striker under Athletic’s successive coaches. In January 2022, Sancet scored a hat-trick against Osasuna, his former club, in La Liga. He made his Spain debut in October 2023, adding international involvement to his rise at San Mamés.
