Oliver Zelenika

Oliver Zelenika is a Croatian goalkeeper, born in Zagreb on 14 May 1993. He developed at Špansko before joining the Dinamo Zagreb academy at 13, and later made senior appearances for Dinamo in European competition. A loan at Rudeš helped advance his career, while spells with Lokomotiva Zagreb gave him regular Prva HNL football and further European experience. Zelenika represented Croatia through the youth ranks and was included in the country’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, although he did not win a senior cap. He subsequently played abroad with Lechia Gdańsk in Poland and NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where opportunities were more limited. In February 2020, Zelenika joined NK Varaždin and helped the club win promotion from the First NL in 2021/22. Standing 1.92 metres tall, he has since become a regular top-flight goalkeeper for Varaždin, contributing with his reach and distribution.
