Otso Virtanen

Otso Virtanen is a Finnish goalkeeper born in Turku on 3 April 1994. He developed with TPS and made his professional debut for the club in 2011, while also appearing for reserve side ÅIFK. In 2013, Virtanen joined IFK Mariehamn, where he made 22 appearances in his first season and helped the club win the Suomen Cup in 2015. He moved to Hibernian in January 2016, experiencing Scottish football before returning to Finland to join KuPS in January 2017. At KuPS, Virtanen became a regular over the following seasons, winning the Veikkausliiga title in 2019 and Suomen Cups in 2021 and 2022. He joined Ilves in 2023, won another Suomen Cup in his first season and was named captain, adding leadership to his 1.96-metre frame and goalkeeping experience.
