Octavian Gabriel Vâlceanu

Octavian Gabriel Vâlceanu is a Romanian goalkeeper born in Bucharest on 13 October 1996. He developed through the Sportul Studențesc system before continuing at Juniorul București between 2013 and 2014. Vâlceanu began his senior pathway with Viitorul Domnești and later spent 2018 to 2021 on loan at Academica Clinceni, where he made 91 appearances and established himself in top-flight football. His 2020–21 campaign included 32 matches for Clinceni. In 2021, he joined Gaz Metan Mediaș, making 23 appearances, before moving to FC Voluntari and spending the 2022–23 season on loan at Petrolul Ploiești, where he played 27 times. After a spell at Concordia Chiajna in Liga II, Vâlceanu joined CFR 1907 Cluj in September 2025 and is part of the club’s squad. At 1.88 metres, he has built his career around goalkeeping consistency and experience across Romania’s professional divisions.
