Onni Johannes Simonpoika Valakari

Onni Johannes Simonpoika Valakari is a Finnish attacking midfielder born in Motherwell, Scotland, on 18 August 1999. He developed with Käpylän Pallo and SJK before beginning his senior career with SJK in Finland’s Veikkausliiga in 2017 and later joining TPS. At TPS, Valakari scored 11 goals in 33 appearances, establishing himself as a productive young midfielder. He joined Tromsø IL in 2018, making 45 appearances and scoring nine goals over two seasons in Norway. In 2020, he moved to Pafos, where he spent four seasons and helped the club win the 2023–24 Cypriot Cup. Valakari made his Finland debut against France on 11 November 2020 and scored in a 2–0 victory. He now represents San Diego FC in Major League Soccer, continuing his career as an attacking midfielder.
