Omar Haktab Traoré
Omar Haktab Traoré is a German defender born in Osnabrück on 4 February 1998. He began playing in his hometown, developing with VfL Osnabrück before joining Eintracht Braunschweig’s youth system in 2015. Traoré later gained senior experience with SV Rödinghausen in the Regionalliga West and moved to KFC Uerdingen 05 in the 3. Liga in 2020. In 2021, he returned to VfL Osnabrück, where his performances helped the club win promotion to the 2. Bundesliga in 2022–23. He then joined 1. FC Heidenheim on a free transfer after the club’s promotion to the Bundesliga. Traoré made his top-flight debut against Wolfsburg on 19 August 2023 and operated primarily at right-back, with the versatility to play as a wing-back or right midfielder. He is currently listed with Watford.
