Owen Spiteri

Owen Spiteri is a Maltese midfielder who developed at the San Gwann FC nursery. He made his senior breakthrough with San Gwann in the 2020/21 Maltese Challenge League, recording 21 appearances. In October 2020, Spiteri made his first start for Malta Under-21 against Romania, featuring in midfield. Floriana signed him in July 2021, taking him from the second tier into Malta’s top flight. By 2022/23, he had established himself as a regular starter for the Greens. Spiteri also represented Floriana in UEFA Conference League qualifying, including campaigns featuring Tre Penne, Vitória Guimarães, Haverfordwest and Ballkani. His career has followed a clear pathway from local development through Malta Under-21 football to senior club competition.
