Opex Samuel is a Nigerian defender born in Kaduna on 25 December 1998. He developed through Pepsi Football Academy, Paca Football Academy and ACE Football Academy between 2007 and 2015. Samuel began his senior career with Warri Wolves in December 2015, moving from youth football into Nigeria’s professional game. In August 2020, he continued his career in Uzbekistan with FK Oqtepa before joining Lokomotiv Tashkent in July 2021. After becoming a free agent, he moved to Albania and signed for KF Laçi in August 2024. A centre-back who can also operate at right-back, Samuel has built his career across Nigeria, Uzbekistan and Albania, with Irtysh listed among his current club references.
