Ørjan Håskjold Nyland

Ørjan Håskjold Nyland is a Norwegian goalkeeper born in Kristiansund. He developed at Mørk IL and Volda TI before joining IL Hødd in 2007, where he became the starting goalkeeper in 2010. Nyland starred in Hødd’s 2012 Norwegian Cup final victory over Tromsø, earning man-of-the-match recognition and saving a penalty in the shootout. He moved to Molde in 2013, helping the club win the 2013 and 2014 Norwegian Cups and the 2014 Eliteserien. After joining FC Ingolstadt 04 in 2015, he gained experience in Germany’s Bundesliga and second tier. Nyland joined Aston Villa in 2018, contributed during their promotion campaign, and later continued in England with Norwich City, Bournemouth and Reading. A subsequent spell at RB Leipzig preceded his move to Sevilla in 2023, while he has also represented Norway internationally; his game combines reflex saves, command of the penalty area and distribution from the back.
