Ousseynou Niang

Ousseynou Niang is a Senegalese midfielder born in Ziguinchor on October 12, 2001. He developed at Académie Diambars and progressed to its first team in Senegal's Ligue 1. In March 2022, he moved to FK Auda in Latvia, where he helped win the 2022 Latvian Cup. Riga signed him in January 2023, giving Niang a route into stronger European competition. He joined Union Saint-Gilloise on September 3, 2024, and remains part of the Belgian club's squad. At Union, Niang has operated from wide areas while also taking on more defensive responsibility. His game is built around quick dribbling, ball carrying and movement that can unsettle defensive blocks, with his compact frame supporting changes of direction. Internationally, he represented Senegal at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, marking an early step in his national-team career.
