Orel Johnson Mangala

Orel Johnson Mangala is a Belgian central midfielder born in Brussels on 18 March 1998. He developed in Belgium before moving to Germany, where he joined VfB Stuttgart in 2017 and began building senior experience. Mangala spent the 2018–19 season on loan at Hamburger SV, then returned to Stuttgart and helped the club secure promotion to the Bundesliga in 2020. His performances earned him a move to Nottingham Forest in July 2022, and he made his Premier League debut against Newcastle United that August. He scored his first Forest goal against Leeds United in April 2023. In February 2024, Mangala moved to Lyon on loan before the transfer became permanent later that year, and he subsequently joined Everton on loan. He made his Belgium senior debut in 2022 and was included in the squad for Euro 2024.
