Ögmundur Kristinsson

Ögmundur Kristinsson is an Icelandic goalkeeper born in Reykjavík on 19 June 1989. He developed in Fram Reykjavík’s youth system and made his senior debut for the club in 2006, later establishing himself as a regular between 2009 and 2011. After helping Fram win the Icelandic Cup in 2013, Kristinsson moved to Randers FC in Denmark in 2014. He joined Hammarby IF in 2015, gaining experience in Sweden and building a reputation for using his height to command the penalty area. In 2018, he moved to Greek club AEL, where his performances led to a transfer to Olympiakos Piraeus in 2020. At Olympiakos Piraeus, Kristinsson served as a goalkeeper in a title-winning squad and handled a more rotational role. He represented Iceland internationally and was included in the squad for Euro 2016, when the team reached the quarter-finals.
