Oskar Hõim

Oskar Hõim is an Estonian midfielder from Tallinn, born on 1 July 2005. He developed within Paide’s system, progressing from Paide II into the senior Paide side after joining the club in early 2023. At Paide, Hõim has established himself in the Meistriliiga midfield, regularly covering substantial minutes and often completing matches. Primarily a holding midfielder, he protects the defence, offers a passing outlet and helps move the ball through the first phase of possession. He can also operate as a deep-lying playmaker or box-to-box midfielder, and has been used at centre-back when required. Hõim has represented Estonia U21 and stepped up to the senior national team. He made his Estonia debut in a friendly against Sweden on 12 January 2024, a 2–1 defeat. By combining defensive coverage with positional flexibility, Oskar Hõim has become an important young midfielder in Estonian football.
